Some individuals have speech problems because of gapped, crowded, and missing teeth.

The American Academy of Orthodontists recommends evaluation for braces by age seven, and most orthodontic patients begin treatment between the ages of 10 and 14. However, more and more adults pursue orthodontic treatment these days because of the increasingly efficient diagnostic and treatment processes. As long as your teeth, bone, and gums are healthy, there's no good reason not to get braces!

Dr. Sapir may leverage in planning treatments that are quicker and making full bracketing at a later date easier. This kind of pediatric orthodontic treatment is termed "interceptive."
